We are seeking a motivated Business Developer to generate new business opportunities in the rebar and reinforcing steel industry. This is a highly entrepreneurial, field-based role working directly with leadership to identify and pursue new contractor relationships, develop proposals, and drive revenue growth. Ideal candidates are strong sellers with an existing network in the concrete and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan targeting general contractors and concrete contractors

  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and relationship development

  • Build and deliver accurate proposals, presentations, and estimates in collaboration with leadership

  • Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline; report on progress regularly

  • Travel regionally to meet contractors, conduct site visits, and close deals (50–70% travel)

  • Assist in establishing and implementing CRM practices (Copper CRM recommended)

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Proven success in business development or sales roles within the construction or rebar industry

  • Strong relationship-building and client management skills

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PDF documentation, and basic proposal preparation

  • OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain after hire)

  • Willingness to travel 50–70% regionally

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships with major concrete contractors

  • Experience in reinforcing steel sales

  • Engineering degree or Professional Engineer (PE) credential (optional)
