Job Summary:
The Commercial Insurance Specialist will manage and grow a $600k commercial book of business while delivering exceptional service to new and existing clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the commercial lines division, with the potential for profit-sharing. The ideal candidate is a motivated, client-focused professional with experience in property and casualty insurance and a desire to build long-lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and service a commercial insurance book of business, ensuring retention and growth.
Provide responsive and professional customer service to new and existing clients.
Handle renewals, policy changes, and client requests efficiently and accurately.
Prepare quotes and proposals for new business and renewals to ensure competitive coverage options.
Collaborate with the sales team to gather necessary information and submit applications to eligible carriers.
Conduct thorough reviews of policy documents for accuracy and compliance.
Proactively identify opportunities for cross-selling other insurance products.
Attend industry networking events to promote the agency and expand business opportunities.
Stay up to date on insurance industry trends, carrier updates, and market conditions.
Participate in training and development programs to maintain required licenses and certifications.
Qualifications:
Texas Property & Casualty license is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with commercial lines in an insurance agency environment.
Experience with agency management software (e.g., Ezlynx) and multiple carrier underwriting systems.
Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and risk management strategies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Must be self-motivated, driven to succeed, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of cross-selling Employee Benefits and Personal Lines is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $45,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience) plus profit sharing opportunities based on growth and performance.
