Control Systems Sales Engineer
Position Overview
The Control Systems Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and securing automated control system projects across commercial, industrial and manufacturing applications. This role focuses on creating innovative process control solutions while maintaining strong profitability. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of industrial automation with consultative sales skills to solve complex client challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and secure profitable automation and control system projects while meeting quarterly and annual sales targets
Design and propose integrated control solutions building automation systems
Create detailed technical proposals including system architecture, scope of work, and accurate cost estimates
Provide technical guidance on process optimization and control strategies
Conduct site surveys to assess existing systems and recommend improvements
Stay current with industrial automation trends and new control technologies
Develop and maintain relationships with system integrators and end users
Provide technical presentations and demonstrations of control system solutions
Review and understand project specifications and MEP Drawing sets
Required Qualifications
Technical Schooling or:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
3+ years of technical sales and estimating experience in industrial automation
Computer networking and server knowledge a plus
Proven track record of meeting sales targets in a technical environment
Excellent project estimation and scope development skills
Strong presentation and interpersonal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with major automation platforms (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell)
Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols
Understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial applications
Experience in systems integration projects
