Practice Overview
We are a well-established, physician-owned internal medicine practice founded in 2008. We are expanding to include a dermatology department. With seven experienced internal medicine providers (five physicians and two nurse practitioners), the practice is prepared to offer immediate patient referrals and comprehensive operational support for dermatology services. This is a rare opportunity to lead and grow a new specialty with the backing of an experienced and successful healthcare team.
Position Summary
The practice is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Dermatologist with strong clinical acumen, outstanding communication skills, and a patient-focused mindset. The initial emphasis will be on medical dermatology, with plans to expand into cosmetic dermatology and laser services, and eventually transition into a larger, dedicated dermatology facility.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality medical dermatology care to a broad range of patients.
Build and lead the dermatology department in collaboration with internal medicine providers.
Consult with internal medicine colleagues for patient referrals and integrated care.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation using the practice’s EMR system.
Educate patients on skincare, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
Collaborate with administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling, billing, and follow-ups.
Participate in planning for future cosmetic dermatology offerings and service expansion.
Uphold a professional and patient-centered approach to care delivery.
Contribute to a culture of teamwork, quality, and excellence in all interactions.
Work Schedule & Patient Volume
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Flexible schedule (4- or 4.5-day workweek available)
See 2–3 new or 3–4 established patients per hour, based on preference
Minimal on-call responsibilities (phone support only with answering service)
Required Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in dermatologic care
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Professional, collaborative, and growth-oriented mindset
Proficiency with E/M and ICD coding
New graduates and experienced dermatologists are both encouraged to apply
Clean malpractice and medical licensing record
Ability to clearly explain any employment gaps
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary between $350,000 – $400,000
Productivity bonus potential (earning up to $800,000+)
