Director of Nursing Operating Room/Operating Room Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are a free-standing surgery center that provides exceptional quality care in a smaller, friendly setting. We are seeking a Director of Nursing for our operating room suite to provide leadership as part of our senior management team.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the surgical schedule

• Complete pre-anesthesia screenings

• Manage medication inventory

• Serve as Infection Control Professional

• Serve as Patient Safety Advisor

• Performance Improvement Project Leader

• Advise medical staff and administration on matters related to nursing services

• Maintain monthly/quarterly reports

• Perform as staff nurse as necessary

• Manage specialty equipment/supply orders
  

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania

• Validation of current BLS/ACLS training

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Operating Room setting

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and sterile techniques

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Experience in ambulatory surgery center with emphasis on plastic surgery is a plus

• Proven ability to supervise and manage shifts effectively

  
  

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Pay: $42-$52/hr

Non-Negotiables:

• RN

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Operating Room setting 

• Management experience in OR supervisory experience highly preferred

• Organizational Skills/Administrative experience

• Within an hour drive (Berks County, Lebanon County, Montgomery County)
