Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced General Manager with expertise in Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Automation
to oversee operations across Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. This senior leadership role could evolve into a Vice President (VP) position based on performance. The General Manager will focus on managing I&E aspects of projects, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This role does not involve mechanical responsibilities. We are looking for a seasoned professional with 20+ years of experience, ideally suited to candidates with extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record in leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage I&E operations across multiple states, overseeing project performance and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Develop and implement strategies for growth, resource allocation, and operational excellence within the I&E department.
Recruit and build a highly skilled team, with a focus on Texas, but overseeing teams across Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
Collaborate with corporate leadership to align I&E operations with the broader company goals.
Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
Act as a mentor to junior staff and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
20+ years of experience in Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) management within the industrial construction sector.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to oversee large, complex projects across multiple regions.
Strong understanding of I&E systems, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Ability to relocate to Glen Rose, TX, if not based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Experience in managing teams across multiple states is preferred.
