Machine Shop Supervisor
We are looking for a dedicated Senior CNC Machinist Leader to oversee and guide a team of skilled machinists in a state-of-the-art facility. This leadership role involves driving operational excellence, mentoring team members, and ensuring the highest quality standards in precision machining. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in Swiss CNC operations and a passion for team development.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Oversee the setup and operation of Swiss CNC lathes, ensuring precision and efficiency.
Develop and implement streamlined machining processes to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
Conduct quality control checks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide training and cross-training to machinists on equipment and techniques.
Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, including ISO 9001 compliance.
Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to meet production goals and timelines.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience operating and programming Swiss CNC lathes (Citizen machines preferred).
Proven leadership experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
Advanced knowledge of G-code, M-code, and CNC programming.
Proficiency in blueprint reading, trigonometry, and geometric tolerancing.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Esprit or similar CNC programming software.
Certification in manufacturing or CNC machining.
Familiarity with managing ISO 9001 standards and audits.
