Director of Nursing Operating Room/Operating Room Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are a free-standing surgery center that provides exceptional quality care in a smaller, friendly setting. We are seeking a Director of Nursing for our operating room suite to provide leadership as part of our senior management team.
Responsibilities:
Monitor the surgical schedule
Complete pre-anesthesia screenings
Manage medication inventory
Serve as Infection Control Professional
Serve as Patient Safety Advisor
Performance Improvement Project Leader
Advise medical staff and administration on matters related to nursing services
Maintain monthly/quarterly reports
Perform as staff nurse as necessary
Manage specialty equipment/supply orders
Qualifications:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania
Validation of current BLS/ACLS training
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Operating Room setting
Strong knowledge of anatomy, surgical procedures, and sterile techniques
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Experience in ambulatory surgery center with emphasis on plastic surgery is a plus
Proven ability to supervise and manage shifts effectively
Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Pay: $42-$52/hr
